Chunfai (CF) Lui is a partner at Stephenson Harwood, based in Shanghai, China. He has more than twenty years of experiences advising on legal matters. He combines his finance and investment background with corporate and regulatory legal expertise to help clients structure and negotiate deals.
He specializes in cross-border transactions, and has successfully completed more than a hundred M&A, joint venture, private equity/venture capital investment and restructuring transactions in diverse sectors covering healthcare, advertising and media, retail, financial services, chemicals, industrial, food and agriculture, and information technology/hi-tech.
He is also experienced in advising foreign direct investments into Asia and outbound investments by Asian multinational companies. He ensures the transactions are compliant with antitrust and regulatory approvals.
Prior to joining Stephenson Harwood, he had been with Baker & McKenzie for 10 years, and Vice President at Bank of Singapore where he led internet-related investments in California startups, Escalate.com and Sygate.
