TNF Ventures Incubates XRVision
SINGAPORE, 9 September 2016 – TNF Ventures invested S$600K into XRVision. The investment is supported by the Technology Incubation Scheme under the Singapore’s National Research Foundation (Prime Minister’s Office).
XRVision provides facial recognition (FR) solutions specifically designed for uncontrolled mobile environments. By using advance image and video analytics, sensor fusion, sense making and 3D based FR, XRVision is able to achieve 75% recognition rate, compared to industry’s standard of 25%, under uncontrolled mobile environments.
XRVision is founded by security veterans, Guy Ron and Yaacov Apelbaum. Guy was previously Microsoft APAC Director for Safe City and CyberSecurity and had held roles in senior R&D and Business Development in Israel MOD and Intel Corp. Yaacov was previously CTO at AGT for the world’s largest Safe City project in the Gulf and Head of AGT Centre of Excellence focusing on Sensor Fusion, Anomaly Detection, Video Analystics and Face Recognition. He holds 11 US patents.
