Ng Yi Pin

Ng Yi Pin is the co-founder and managing partner of Yunqi Partners, an early stage VC fund in China focusing on Mobile Internet, Smart Devices, Fintech and B2B etc.

Prior to founding Yunqi Partners, Yi Pin was a partner at GGV Capital. He was with GGV for over 10 years in the Silicon Valley then the Shanghai office. Yi Pin served at the venture group at Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC) before joining GGV. Prior to that, Yi Pin held operations planning and operational management positions at Sun Microsystems covering the Asia Pacific region. He is also a commissioned officer in the Republic of Singapore Navy.

Yi Pin has extensive experience in successfully investing in smart device / mobile technology, advance manufacturing, and TMT sector. These investments include AAC Technology (2018.HK), Sinosun (300333.SZ), Meihua Grp (600873.SH), XFire (acq by Viacom), Placeware (Acq by MSFT), Arbortext (acquired by Parametric Technology Corp, PTC), Wayport (Acq by AT&T), GLog (Acq by Oracle), Chaoli, Bellabeat and Bluesmart etc.

Yi Pin holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering & Math from University of San Francisco, an M.S. in Operations Research from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from Nanyang Business School, Singapore. Yi Pin is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
